Hot and humid today, afternoon and evening storms likely – NBC Connecticut

We’re starting Tuesday off with some rain before humidity returns, along with another chance for storms this afternoon and evening.

Rain and thunder are gliding by this morning. Some at the shoreline may also see lightning.

The rain will end later in the morning and the sun will break through.

Once the rain ends, humidity will return. Temperatures will be between 85 and 90 with the heat index near 94.

Another round of rain and thunder is likely this afternoon and evening, mainly between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Gusty winds and heavy rain are the biggest concerns.

Wednesday will feature partial clearing before another chance for strong thunderstorms on Thursday.

The holiday weekend looks nice.
