New SI
Resort in Nashville.
Travel + Leisure Co. is adding a new vacation ownership location for its Sports Illustrated
Resorts brand in Nashville. The resort is scheduled to welcome its first guests
in Spring 2026 and will be located on Music Row. The brand’s first location in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is scheduled to break ground next spring.

New hotel
in Wichita.
Wichita,
Kansas-based Spartan Downtown is opening the 118-key AC Hotel Wichita
Downtown. The hotel is an adaptive reuse of the historic Brown/Broadway Plaza
Building, originally built in 1929, which served as the home of the Russell
Stover Candy Shop for over 50 years. The hotel will be managed by Greenwood
Village, Colorado-based Greenwood Hospitality, which is a strategic partner of
Hotel Equities.

Charlestowne
adds 2.
Charleston,
South Carolina-based Charlestowne Hotels has added two university-affiliated
properties to its management portfolio, the 39-key Granville Inn in Granville,
Ohio, and the 45-key The Inn at Patrick Square in Clemson, South Carolina. The
Granville Inn originally opened in 1924 and was purchased and renovated by
Denison University in 2013. The Inn at Patrick Square is located in Clemson’s
Patrick Square and has 1,830 sq. ft. of divisible event space.

Aman
resort coming to KSA.
Aman has unveiled plans for Amansamar, a luxury resort and residential complex
within Saudi Arabia’s Wadi Safar mega-development. Located near Riyadh’s
UNESCO’s World Heritage Site of Diriyah, Wadi Safar will be home to a golf
course, equestrian and polo facilities, and additional hotels, including Six
Senses, Oberoi, Montage and Faena hotels, among others. Amansamar will feature
80 guestrooms and 37 branded residences, ranging from five to six bedrooms.

Spanish
STR beds.
More than
1.1 million tourist rental beds in Spain could become unavailable starting next
August if the mandatory registrations in the Spanish National Registry for
Tourist and Seasonal Rentals, introduced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban
Agenda, are not completed, according to research by Mabrian. This would require
online platforms to remove listings that do not include the Rental Registration
Number (NRA, for its Spanish acronym). These beds represent 87% of the total
national short-term rental offerings active in Spain as of July 15.

IHCL earnings. The Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. (IHCL) reported
record-breaking Q1 results as part of its latest earnings. IHCL posted
consolidated revenue of INR 2,102 crore, up 32 % year-over-year, and the hotel
segment alone generated INR 1,814 crore, up 14% YOY, with an EBITDA margin of
31.4%. Hotels in India delivered 11% consolidated RevPAR growth, and IHCL’s
consolidated portfolio had an occupancy of 78%, up 460 basis points, with
RevPAR growth of 13%. IHCL signed 12 new hotels in the quarter, bringing its
portfolio to over 390 hotels.
