NEW DELHI: At least seven people are feared dead and over 25 injured as a stampede occurred at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru during Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) victory parade.Menawhile, Karnataka deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar said that, “no information on deaths in RCB celebrations in Bengaluru and will inform on receiving details.”“It was young, vibrant crowd, we cannot use lathi,” he added.‘We shortened the program’“I have spoken to the police commissioner and everyone. I will also go to the hospital later. I do not want to disturb the doctors who are taking care of the patients. The exact number cannot be told now. We appeal to the people to remain calm. We shortened the program. The program ended within 10 minutes. We are trying to make everything normal. Lakhs of people came,” the deputy chief minister further said. RCB fans have gathered in huge numbers outside the Vidhana Soudha with flags and banners to celebrate RCB’s triumph in IPL 2025. Visuals showed police shifting the injured persons and those who fell unconscious to ambulances.Cops were seen using mild force to manage the crowd outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The IPL Champions and several political leaders, including Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah marked their presence at the victory parade.
