talkSPORT understands that Marc Guehi’s move to Liverpool from Crystal Palace is now in doubt.

Palace have seen a move for Igor collapse as the Brighton defender looks set to join West Ham instead.

And now they’re scrambling for a replacement for Guehi with just over an hour to go until the deadline.

Liverpool are waiting for Palace to decide on whether to sanction the move, despite Guehi having already completed his medical.

This one is going to go down to the wire…

Going nowhere

Kobbie Mainoo will NOT be leaving Man United.

The midfielder had asked for a loan move away from Old Trafford, but he’s not going to be departing.

Man United didn’t entertain any offers for their academy product.

Mainoo played his first 45 minutes of the season against Burnley on Saturday after playing no part in the opening two fixtures.

He was keen to get some more gametime elswhere, with Ruben Amorim putting him in competition with Bruno Fernandes.

However, the England international will be staying and having to work to find a first-team place for the Red Devils.

Signing Solomon

Crystal Palace are close to signing Tottenham winger Manor Solomon on loan, talkSPORT understands.

Solomon spent last season on loan at Leeds in the Championship, where he scored 10 goals and assisted 12.

The forward impressed in the second tier and now looks to be staying in the Premier League, leaving Spurs again.

Palace have already signed Yeremy Pino after losing Eberechi Eze, but Oliver Glasner is on the lookout for more options.

Liverpool fans, there appears to be no reason to worry…

Marc Guehi is still expected to join the Reds despite Igor’s move from Brighton to Crystal Palace being hijacked by West Ham.

The Brazilian defender is set to join the Hammers, which has left some doubts over whether Guehi would be allowed to depart.

However, talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent, Alex Crook, has given a fresh positive update on the deal.

Crook said: “Guehi is undergoing a medical in London ahead of a £35million move from Crystal Palace to Liverpool.

“We did wonder if Igor pulling out of a move to Palace – looks like he’s off to West Ham instead – might put the buffers on that deal.

“The latest information we have is that it’s more than likely that Guehi still joins Liverpool.

“At the moment, there’s no suggestion that move will be canned in the next hour and 40 minutes we have left of the window.”

Recalled

Marc Guiu has completed his return to Chelsea from Sunderland.

The Spanish striker has been recalled by the Blues after the Black Cats agreed to cancel his loan deal.

He’ll now be playing Champions League football this season following his very short time at the Stadium of Light.
