Swift Current RCMP are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a death that is considered suspicious.
Police say they were called to a home on First Avenue NW in the southwestern Saskatchewan city just after 1 a.m. on Friday with a report about an injured man.
The 29-year-old was taken to hospital, where he was later declared dead, RCMP said in a Saturday news release.
Police have identified him as a resident of Swift Current and have notified his family.
RCMP said they won’t be providing more details about the man’s identity for now. They consider the death to be suspicious, and the RCMP’s major crimes unit is currently investigating.
They’re asking anyone with information to contact police by calling 310-RCMP (7267), or by submitting information anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
