ITR Filing Portal
File your ITR through the official portal: https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/
Why Is ITR e-Verification Important?
Verification is mandatory to complete the return filing process. If your ITR is not verified within the given time, it becomes invalid.
Penalty for Late ITR Filing
If you miss the due date, you can still submit a belated return until December 31, 2025. A penalty of Rs 5,000 will apply for most taxpayers. However, if your taxable income is below Rs 5 lakh, the penalty is capped at Rs 1,000.
