Lester Holt to Depart ‘NBC Nightly Information’ Anchor Position

Lester Holt, the veteran NBC newscaster and anchor of the “NBC Nightly Information” over the past decade, introduced on Monday that he’ll step down from the flagship night newscast within the coming months.

Mr. Holt informed colleagues that he would stay at NBC, increasing his duties at “Dateline,” the place he serves because the present’s anchor.

“It has really been the distinction of a lifetime to work with every of you day-after-day, holding journalism as our true north and our viewers on the heart of every little thing we do,” Mr. Holt, 65, wrote in a memo to colleagues.
