Ananya Sankar, a paralegal specialist at the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, read aloud messages between Kristina Khorram (then Sean “Diddy” Combs’ chief of staff) and one of Combs’ assistants, Ryan Lopez, that were included in a chart.
Sankar is a summary witness, which are used to submit summary charts into evidence.
The messages that Sankar read from the chart were from December 29, 2019.
“Lol think I saw one of the cowboys today. You can spot them in a lobby like a escort. I forgot to tell you about it,” Lopez texted Khorram.
Khorram texted back four laughing face emojis. “Btw how long is he gonna stay awake?” she said in the messages.
“Lol I’m guessing until tomorrow night,” Lopez responded.
Two women who had dated Combs and testified against him in this trial — Cassie Ventura and “Jane” — had testified that she and Combs used a service called “Cowboys and Angels” to find escorts for “Freak Offs.”
Remember: “Freak Off” was one name, according to testimony in this trial, for what witnesses said were sexual encounters between a Combs girlfriend and a male “entertainer,” often in a hotel room, with Combs present. Ventura, who dated Combs from around 2007 to 2018, testified Combs called them “Freak Offs.”
“Jane,” who testified under a pseudonym and dated Combs from 2021 to 2024, testified extensively about similar encounters, which she called “hotel nights.”
Jonathan Perez, a personal assistant to Combs from December 2021 to September 2024, testified Friday about staff members setting up “king nights,” which he described as Combs “going to (a) hotel to have private time with a female.”
