We’re getting extra accounts from witnesses in Thailand about what it was like earlier when the earthquakes hit.

Voranoot Thirawat, a lawyer working in central Bangkok, mentioned her first indication that one thing was flawed got here when she noticed a light-weight swinging forwards and backwards. 

Then she heard the constructing creaking because it moved from the shockwaves.

She and her colleagues ran down 12 flights of stairs.

“In my lifetime, there was no earthquake like this in Bangkok,” she informed the AP information company.

‘There have been folks crying within the streets’

Paul Vincent, a vacationer visiting from England, was at a streetside bar when the quake struck.

“The following factor, all people got here on the road, so there was numerous screaming and panicking, which clearly made it lots worse,” he mentioned.

As he got here out into the road, he mentioned he noticed a high-rise constructing swaying and water falling from a rooftop pool.

“After I noticed the constructing, oh my God, that is when it hit me,” he mentioned.
