New student exhibition at Leicester Gallery opens today

A new exhibition showcasing work from students from our MA Contemporary Art Practice programme opens today at Leicester Gallery on campus.

Entitled ‘13 Beautiful Horses – where every hoof lands differently’, the show brings together sculpture, moving image, installation, sound and performance from the programme’s thirteen artists who have been working collectively but independently over the last twelve months.

“It is the result of a year spent working side by side, in shared studios, scattered group chats, overlapping references and persistent questions. Each brings a different pace, weight and direction, but together they move, momentarily, as one.”

The exhibition opens this evening for private viewing, and then from tomorrow until Saturday 20September for the general public.

The gallery is open Monday to Saturday, 12-5pm.
