Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira is targeting at least three more new signings before the end of the summer transfer window.
Ahead of tomorrow’s season opener against Manchester City, Pereira has confirmed the club are working on deals for more players.
So far this summer, Wolves have signed Spanish forward Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo, Colombia international Jhon Arias from Fluminense and Norwegian wing-back David Moller Wolfe from AZ Alkmaar.
Wolves’ current priorities are at right wing-back, with talks ongoing over a possible deal for Hellas Verona’s Jackson Tchatchoua, defensive midfield and No.10.
“All managers, they always want more and more,” Pereira told a news conference today. “Here in our club, we are working to get the players that we need.
“They (the club) know that we need more. In my opinion, at least three players. They know the positions, they know the profiles and I will wait for the end of the market to see if it’s possible.”
Pereira also confirmed he will appoint a four-man captaincy group ahead of tomorrow’s game, which is expected to comprise Joao Gomes, Toti, Jose Sa and Matt Doherty — the four players who have worn the armband in pre-season.
