Donald Trump was condemned by the New York State Catholic Convention Saturday after the White Home shared an AI-generated picture of the president styled because the Pope. “There’s nothing intelligent or humorous about this picture, Mr. President,” the group wrote on X.
“We simply buried our beloved Pope Francis and the cardinals are about to enter a solemn conclave to elect a brand new successor of St. Peter. Don’t mock us.”
Trump, who just isn’t Catholic, first shared the picture himself on Reality Social Friday evening, solely days after attending the funeral for Pope Francis. The White Home reposted the picture on X.
The picture was broadly condemned and mocked on the latter platform.
Pope Francis died April 21. Trump was later criticized for saying he was wanting ahead to the funeral and for carrying a blue swimsuit to it as an alternative of black.
