Extra response from different European leaders now, firstly from Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
He has posted on X to say “Europe has woken up”, alongside {a photograph} of the leaders on the summit earlier at present.
Tusk says these current “all communicate with one voice about serving to Ukraine, the necessity for shut transatlantic cooperation and strengthening the japanese border”.
Italy’s prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, has given her response too, and says “the one factor we completely can not afford is a peace [in Ukraine] that doesn’t final”.

He says the alliance has been strengthened in recent times “with new members and defence spending” and that’s “the trail we’ll proceed to observe sooner or later as properly”.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, additionally on X, reiterates that Europe “should take a larger function in guaranteeing security for our continent” and provides that “good transatlantic relations are additionally indispensable”.
